December 31: Texarkana, TX
Teen Charged in Connection with Fatal Texarkana Shooting Incident
This could be problematic if the shooting turned out to be in defense of “stuff” instead of life; however, it could also be that the teens put the homeowner in fear for his life. All we get is “shots were fired.” As I understand it, though, Texas is one of the few states that allows the use of deadly force to protect possessions, so it may be legal either way.
At any rate, a 15-year-old boy is dead and a 16-year-old boy is charged with Burglary of a Habitation after being confronted by a homeowner while they were breaking into his vehicle.

Remember stories like this when they talk about “children” getting hurt with guns.
The 17-year-old “brandished a firearm in an attempt to rob the person of interest of a firearm in his possession,” the sheriff’s office said.
