Good Guy with a Gun #123: Atlanta, GA (Free post)
Original incident: March 5, 2024. When you're burglarizing an apartment, try to know your target so you don't wind up facing an off-duty cop. And avoid falling three stories when he shoots at you.

An Atlanta police officer was off-duty — which means he’s just another good guy with a gun — and in his home at the Dwell at the View apartment complex when he found himself face-to-face with a burglar.
He grabbed his gun and fired at the intruder, who evaded the bullets but couldn’t escape gravity as he crashed through a window and fell three stories to the ground.
The burglar sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized.
The bullets sent him running, the fall removed him as a danger, but it was the sudden stop at the end that gave him a hard lesson. Isn’t it always?
