Good Guy with a Gun #181: San Antonio, TX
The intruder said he lived there. The resident — the actual resident — disagreed. | Original incident: April 25, 2024
These posts are based on our Good Guy with a Gun calendar. Today’s post is essentially the same as the calendar version.
It was 7:30 AM on a Thursday morning, and a San Antonio apartment-dweller was probably getting his coffee or rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Then he heard a man trying to enter through the back door of his apartment.
As you might expect, the resident asked the intruder what he was doing there.
He told the resident that he lived there. (Which is why he jumped a fence to come in through the patio door? Hmmm...)

The real resident disagreed, naturally enough, and after some back-and-forth, the intruder became aggressive. The resident shot him once in the stomach — a non-life-threatening wound — after which the man backed out of the apartment and lay on the ground.
There’s no sign that the resident faced charges, nor details on what happened to the intruder afterward.

KSAT put out some initial coverage and then joined this to another shooting the same day for another segment — so if I haven’t satisfied your DGU cravings, click through or watch it below.
KENS 5 also connected those dots in its coverage.
Finally, aggregator Hoodline posted about the incident, using these two sites as sources.
