Good Guy with a Gun #2: Manchester, TN
Original incident: October 30, 2023.
This is the kind of content featured in the 2026 Good Guy with a Gun one-page-per-day desk calendar.
Manchester, Tennessee is a small town with around 12,000 people. It’s the county seat of Coffee County, and if you’ve been there, it’s probably for for the Bonnarroo Music Festival.
Unlike the last story, where we have surveillance video, we have very little detail about what happened on that Monday, October 30, at around 4 in the morning.
We know that Carlos Daniel Antonio Rivera, who is apparently a Mexican citizen, tried to break into a home in the Beechgrove area. The homeowner shot him in the chest, which drove him off.
Rivera stumbled around on foot until he was found some hours later by the police and taken to the hospital. At the time of the last report on this incident, he was in stable condition.
This GGWAG story got some coverage: From AWR Hawkins at Breitbart (the photo above), Colion Noir, and several news organizations. If you stick with me for a while, you’ll realize how many GGWAG stories -- even those that involve fatal shootings -- get very little coverage at all.
That thing that never happens? It happens every day.
