Sounds like this young man dodged a bullet, so to speak.
He was at the counter in a convenience store in Michigan a little before midnight, waiting to buy a few items.
Suddenly, he was attacked from behind by his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend, Darien Louis Bragg. The three of them fell to the ground under the weight of the assault.
Despite being under active attack, the young man was able to fire a single shot from his weapon. It passed through Bragg’s chest and hit his ex in the abdomen. Bragg died; the ex went to the hospital.
Then the man paid for his goods and waited for the deputies. The prosecutor declined to press charges against him.
No word on how lucky he feels about no longer dating the ex.
