We once had neighbors with a different outcome. She finally left him -- he was very abusive -- and had a restraining order, but he found out where she'd moved and came and killed her. We didn't know them, just about them, but it broke my heart.
Horrifying. And a gun won’t always save them, but at least it evens the odds.
