These posts are based on our Good Guy with a Gun calendar. Today’s post is essentially the same as the calendar version.
It was a Monday night, and the kids were already out front playing when somebody let the family’s three dogs out of the garage.
Two of them knocked the three-year-old to the ground, playing. But the third one bit and dragged the child down the driveway.
Several grown-ups ran for the child, and two of them fired shots “near the dog.” That made the dog run back into the garage.
MEDIC took the child to the hospital with serious injuries. The owner surrendered the dog to Animal Care and Control for a ten-day rabies quarantine, to be euthanized when that was over.
Not every good guy with a gun story has a bad guy.

I love dogs, but they can be really scary, and hard to stop once they go after someone. That poor kid must have been terrified; thank God there were those ready to help him.
