Around 4:30 PM, a 34-year-old man was inside Shack Seafood and Steak in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood when Erick Cameron, 33, entered, drew a gun, and fired at him. Cameron’s shots struck the man in the face and arm.
Fortunately, a third person present was armed and fired at Cameron, hitting Cameron in the thigh and back.
Both Cameron and his victim were seriously injured and hospitalized.
Cameron was charged with several felonies, including attempted first-degree murder, armed violence with the discharge of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
