A man was cleaning out his car a little after 9 on a Friday night when someone walked up to him wearing a ski mask, carrying a gun, and demanding his money.
The car’s owner had a gun of his own. He pulled it, and the two of them shot at each other.
The masked man was hit several times, but he still made it back to his own car, parked less than a block away. That’s where deputies found him, slumped behind the wheel of a silver Acura. (In Silverton? Sounds like camouflage.)
His name is Iszell Peterson. He was taken to the hospital, and just three days later a grand jury indicted him on six felonies, including trying to rob a man at gunpoint.
