Alfred Denale Holmes was mad.
Apparently, prior to the action of our story, there had been an altercation between Holmes and some other people.
We don’t know where or why, but we know that Holmes rolled up to a mechanic’s shop on Highway 438 in Franklinton, Louisiana, stepped out of his vehicle, and opened fire on three people who were sitting in two vehicles.
One of the three was armed, too, and shot back. Holmes was hit in the abdomen and the shoulder.
The GGWAG — correctly labeled as “the victim” by the sheriff — called 911 to get medical help for Holmes.
The investigation found that “Holmes was the aggressor in the situation,” and “a warrant was issued for his arrest.”
He was picked up about two and a half weeks after the shooting and booked into the parish jail on three counts of attempted second-degree murder — presumably one for each person in those two vehicles. Bond was set at $200,000.
