Absolutely. Honestly, I don't care about the statistics as much as I used to. How often are there DGUs? I don't care: This woman should not have been disarmed. The result of her being disarmed could have been horrific. She is not a statistic.
So true. We live in a pretty safe place but I am grateful that I could at least try to defend myself if necessary. (I don't practice enough to be good at it, but it's still better than a baseball bat under the bed.)
That poor woman. I'm glad she was able to protect herself, but what she must be going through now . . . It would be hard to get past it.
