Story
It wasn’t the happiest of new years for a man who broke into a residence on Taft Street in Blair, Wisconsin in the wee hours, a little after 1 AM.
While one resident called the police, her husband confronted the intruder and shot him.
The police arrived to find the door kicked in and the man lying on the floor in the garage. He was taken to the hospital.
While investigating the incident, the police discovered that the same man had broken into another residence, but there had been nobody home.
It’s unfortunate these homeowners had to deal with an intruder, but it’s a good thing they had a gun to do it.
Commentary
House entered, shots fired, man taken to a hospital. This was a life-changing event for the homeowners, and maybe a life-changing event for the home invader, but we know almost nothing about them.
The Good Guy with a Gun isn’t a myth — he’s just underdocumented.
