Good Guy with a Gun #70: Seattle, WA
Original incident: January 9, 2024. Sometimes the attack happens too fast to stop it, and you end up wounded — but a gun can still help you change the outcome.

It was just a scooter. Was it really worth almost killing someone?
At about 10 PM, a 20-year-old man1 stepped off of a bus at 4th Avenue and Columbia Street. That’s about two blocks west of I-5 and two blocks south of the Seattle Central Library, if you know where that is.
If you scan the area using Google Street View, it seems nice enough. The tall building on the left is Columbia Center, boasting a Sky View Observatory 72 floors up. But then you start to notice the graffiti that’s cropping up in various areas, and the vacancy signs.
The man had a scooter. Someone else wanted the scooter enough to steal it, stabbing the victim multiple times in the process.
