Good Guy with a Gun #81: Wellford, SC
Original incident: January 3, 2024. What do we know about this Good Guy with a Gun story? Pretty much only that it's a Good Guy with a Gun story.

Here’s the full report about a South Carolina shooting, verbatim:
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said deputies are investigating a shooting that left one person hurt in Wellford Wednesday night.
Deputies said the shooting took place on Shiloh Church Road and left one person with a non life-threatening gunshot wound to his hip.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was cooperative and at this time, it appears he acted in self defense.
That’s all there is.
Defensive gun uses (DGUs) often don’t make the news, and there’s often not much detail when they do. The world will literally never know the stories behind all of these DGUs — but they’re life-changing.

There’s a brief mention of the incident in a Facebook post from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, and it looks like KTIV 4 and WALB 10 had local news coverage — they look like they’re different packages for the same content — but they’re no longer playing, at least on my computer.
