Artavious Reed, 20, went on a violent armed robbery spree. Twice he got away, but on the third try — at the Hampton Point Apartments — his luck ran out.

When his victims resisted, Reed shot up their car. One victim was armed and returned fire, hitting Reed multiple times. While Reed was in the hospital, police linked him with the other crimes.
He was charged with armed robbery, three counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes.
Reed’s frenzy of life-endangering crime showed no sign of stopping until he ran into a good guy with a gun.

Not much to talk about here.
WSB-TV 2 and WSB 95.5 radio carried identical stories.
Fox 5 provided a terse article.
The Henry Herald wrote a piece; I find it interesting that the original (which you can see here archived from February 14) was updated on August 22 (this archive is from October) solely to remove the word “Black” from the description, “When they arrived, officers found a Black man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.”
News aggregator Hoodline picked up the story, as did conservative outlet Red State.
