Good Guy with a Gun #97: Chicago, IL (free post)
Original incident: February 5, 2024. The Good Guy with a Gun isn't a myth: He's just underdocumented. Here's one of his stories from a home invasion in Chiraq.

You don’t need a concealed carry permit to protect yourself at home. Obvious, right? But the two news sources that talk about this shooting insist on telling us that a concealed carry license holder — that rare beast! — shot a home invader.
Despite this being a life-altering event for both participants, we know very little about what happened.
It happened near 71st and Jeffery (sic) in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood.
The aggressor was a 30-year-old man who tried to force his way into an apartment.
The GGWAG was a 29-year-old concealed carry holder who shot him in the leg with a handgun.
The suspect was taken to the hospital in fair condition.
Like I always say, the Good Guy with a Gun isn’t a myth: He’s just underdocumented.
On the other hand, we know enough to say it’s a GGWAG story.
Something else we know: It’s a good idea to keep your protection close wherever you are — even in your home.
