Georgia
Powder Springs: A woman says she “feared for her life” when she shot 30-year-old Rashad Liddwell in the Powder Springs Park at night near the women’s bathroom, thinking Liddwell was about to attack her. Liddwell died of his injuries at the hospital.

Indianapolis: There is an update in this case from last week’s round-up in which Lamonte Thomas and his uncle, Jamar Thomas, attacked a man, taking him to the ground and punching him. The victim shot Jamar in the stomach in self-defense, at which point Lamonte Thomas began choking the victim until police pulled him away. Lamonte Thomas was jailed on felony charges while his uncle was taken to the hospital. Now we hear that the uncle, Jamar Thomas, has also been “charged with robbery resulting in injury, criminal confinement and battery resulting in bodily injury.”
Louisiana
New Iberia: In typical underdocumented fashion, all we know about this story is that unnamed people were involved, one person was shot and hospitalized, and the good person with a gun who who shot them fired in self-defense.
