I understand Sean Holt's concern about trying to save the life of someone who just attacked you, but I don't know how you'd just sit there watching him die, either . . .
I hear you. The tension between what you "should do" and what you want to do to feel human can be pretty high. That starts at pulling the trigger and continues from there. I imagine part of my decision process would include looking at how hurt I thought they really were: If there's a chance that they might be exaggerating or faking it, I'm probably not going near them.
