I think it is a real problem that so many assume that "children" are always victims -- we seem to be turning them into "adults" in their thinking and acting at younger and younger ages. By "adult" I'm not talking about maturity, obviously, but imitation of the violent adults around them. So terribly sad.
I can't agree more. And the actual adult was apparently formed in an environment where there was no expectation that adults would be, you know, adults. The cultural problem here is immense.
